The award-winning HBC Bakery-Cafe is looking for a corporate chef to help manage our growing commissary, help teach and train line cooks, and develop new menus across the company.

Reports to: Director of Operations & President
Hours: 50-55 hours weekly with 7 day availability. Schedule may rotate week to week based on volume and needs of the business. An occasional sixth day may be necessary based on season and necessity.
Job Description:
- Directs and oversees production and transportation at the Bloomfield facility as well as the culinary operations of the cafes.
- Uphold company values and mission at all times
- Provide professional, respectful leadership at all times
- Maintaining systems and company standards
- Ordering and inventory for commissary and oversee culinary ordering and operations at the cafe level
- Ensure all company policies and regulations are followed
- Keeping prime costs in line with company goals
- Responsible for managing all daily operation of the commissary
- Development of cafe menus, event menus and specials
- Performance Management of employees
- Optimization of profits within food and labor cost
Ensure commissary and cafe culinary operations are operating at peak efficiency
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen to the highest federal and state standards.
- Support Cafe General Managers in all capacities including:
Driving sales, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring excellent guest engagement
- Assisting with on and offsite events
- Supervise, train, and motivate cafe culinary teams
