Hartford Baking Company, an award-winning artisan bakery for the retail and wholesale markets, is seeking to expand its artisan bread business throughout Connecticut and is in need of experienced sales people to help extend our reach into new territories.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to enter a growing business at the ground level and take advantage of huge growth opportunities.
We are seeking an inside sales rep to communicate with customers, take orders, and to build and set up wholesale accounts.
We're looking for someone to work 25-30 hours per week including Saturday.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in inside food service sales and/or customer service
- Be comfortable in an office environment
- Attention to detail
- Restaurant experience a plus
- Customer service experience required
- Have reliable transportation to get to Bloomfield
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers about orders, product questions, and new product needs
- Assist sales team in setting up new accounts
- Research customer needs and make product recommendations to meet needs
- Maintain existing accounts
- Administrative tasks such as scanning invoices, processing credits, and communicating with vendors.
- Be informed of market conditions, new innovations, and competitor's products, prices, and sales
