The ideal candidate for this position has had prior experience in a fine dining food setting. This candidate will provide support to the Executive Chef at Max Fish, as a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef is the chef in charge at times and will lad the team to flawlessly execute all of our guests meals. The Sous Chef is also responsible for assisting with scheduling, inventory and creating specials. Ability to work all stations, train new hires and develop other kitchen staff as needed to help build on their skills to grow with the company. Culinary training/coursework is a plus. Commitment to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual is a must. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position.

Max Fish is one of our busiest restaurants located in the Somerset Shoppes in Glastonbury. This location is known for its lively happy hours, year round heated patio and wonderful menu of the freshest ingredients, with a heavy focus on seafood. Providing a creative culinary experience for our guests while following the policies and procedures of the restaurant is expected in this role. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
