The Sous Chef is primarily responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of all food items. He or she must also ensure the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen, minimize waste, and optimize cost/production ratio.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Sous Chef must assure that all meals coming from all kitchens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are well prepared with regard to quality, consistency, eye appeal, taste, and food cost. This is to be achieved by delegating the workload throughout the kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS:

Long hours required, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly; must work well in stressful high pressure situations; must be effective in handling and solving problems in the work place.

QUALIFICATIONS: At least 5 years of related progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 3 years progressive experience.
