Small sandwich shop in New Haven is currently hiring for 3 positions. 2 full-time, one part-time.
Available shifts:
.Slot 1 -(38 hours- $13.00 hour plus tips) : Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm
Saturday 4pm-2am
.Slot 2 (36 hours- $13.00 hour plus tips) : Tuesday-Friday 5pm-2am
.Slot 3 ($15.00 an hour- 20 hours, give or take, make your own hours, experienced prep chef only.)
.Looking to hire a few people that can answer the phone and take orders for the kitchen. This is a small operation so the job includes a few different responsibilities in addition to taking orders.
.Slot 1 & 2 job duties- taking orders on phone and in person using a POS. Washing dishes as needed and cleaning. Cleaning includes sanitizing the space throughout the shift, moping and sweeping, caring about the space In general. You should have prior experience taking orders from customers over the phone and using a POS. We are seeking people with vibrant personalities who are good with people and multitasking. Looking for those who are self motivated and organized. Your primary job experience should be a phone person, not a dishwasher.
.Slot 3, part time prep Chef job duties- knock out a small prep list for the restaurant. You should have experience in a professional kitchen and know how to keep a knife busy. This is a flexible position and is open to working around your current schedule. You must understand how to read recipes. You need to be fluent in English and understand the difference between Tablespoons, Teaspoons and Grams. Know how to weigh and measure food properly. Your experience will be vetted.
We are a small sandwich shop for delivery and take-out only. No seats or inside dining. We pride ourself on amazing food an attentive service. Munchies is a very small space so you should be comfortable moving and operating within a small space. Drugs and alcohol have no place and will not be tolerated. Drug testing is required for the job. Each position requires minimum one year experience in a similar position. These positions will require references as well.
