We are hiring grill and yard equipment assemblers for our hardware stores.
I am specifically looking for assemblers for the stores in New Haven, Stratford, Norwalk, Orange, and Trumbull.
This is a year-round position not seasonal.
We have the contract to provide assembly services to a chain of home improvements stores in all of their locations in Connecticut.
Each assembler typically works at the 2 or 3 closest locations to their home.
This position is open to men and women of all ages and skill levels who enjoy building things.
No experience required. We will teach you how to assemble quickly and efficiently.
The hours are generally 7AM-3PM weekdays. The hours and days can be flexible.
All assembly takes place inside the hardware stores.
The average assembler will make $15-$20 per hour on piecework
The top 10% of our assemblers make $60,000-$85,000 per year.
The top 20% earn at least $50,000 per year.
The more efficiently and the more items we assemble, the more money we make as we are paid by the piece. All overtime is paid and we pay extra for travel over 40 minutes.
We will provide you with paid on the job training for the first 40 hours. During this training, a veteran assemble will work by your side and show you how to assemble in the most efficient manner. After training we usually work in 2 or 3 person teams as we rotate through our route of stores. We generally only visit one store per day.
This is a piecework pay job so we have to assemble quickly and efficiently.
We work at each store once or twice a week. Assemblers work at locations within approximately a 30 minute drive from their homes.
It takes about 8-10 hours to assemble everything that is needed for a store's weekly assembly appointment.
We assemble all of their grills, wheelbarrows, patio furniture, tool boxes, riding mowers, snow blowers, among other items. Anything that comes in a box and requires assembly, we assemble for them.
We offer part-time and full-time positions.
Requirements and details:
*Able to lift 50 lbs grills repeatedly.
*Must be at least 18 years old.
*Must own a cordless drill and basic tools. (Tools can be acquired after the training period)
*Must have access to reliable transportation.
*Pay is based on piecework after paid on the job training.
*This can be either a 1099 or W2 position.
*Payday is every 2 weeks via check or direct deposit.
