The Strategic Giving Coordinator is responsible for administering a successful mid-level gift program ($1,000-$4,999) by managing a

portfolio in donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Strategic Giving Coordinator serves as front-line

relationship staff that provides critical administrative and strategic support. They facilitate the department’s prospect research, resulting

in strong donor retention and increased giving to the mid-level gifts. They will work with the Donor Services Manager to analyze donor

and gift information using Raisers Edge. This role executes creative and innovative collateral and programming for the Strategic Giving

Team including quarterly impact reports and targeted individual solicitations. The Strategic Giving Coordinator reports to the Senior

Director of Strategic Giving and will represent Connecticut Foodshare at donor meetings and external events to promote the mission of

the organization.

Responsibilities:

Oversee a portfolio of mid-level donors, identifying opportunities for increased and innovative giving.

Responsible for implementation of mid-level giving program including key messaging, collateral, programs and opportunities for

mid-level funders.

Conduct comprehensive prospect research, enabling prioritization of donors based on giving capacity and opportunities to further

engage prospects for the benefit of the food bank.

Work within the Strategic Giving Team to qualify and ultimately move donors to secure larger gift amounts

Effectively manage donor relationships, through information discovery and dissemination of information to other donor facing

members of the Giving team.

Provide administrative and strategic support to the Strategic Giving Team.

Effectively utilize Raisers’ Edge for information capture and data analysis.

Oversee projects including quarterly impact reports and select mid and major donor solicitations.

Produce regular reports to track progress towards achieving goals.

Request, schedule, and participate in donor meetings.

Represent Connecticut Foodshare at events to help promote the mission of the organization.

Assist with other fundraising projects and fundraising events as needed.

Other Functions:

Support Connecticut Foodshare’s mission to lead an informed, coordinated response to hunger through the distribution of food,

education, and involvement of the public.

In all duties, be responsible for cost-efficient operations.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and/or comparable work experience.

1+ year’s work experience in project planning/execution or related non-profit development work with a proven track record of

developing relationships and community contacts.

Strong writing skills, good verbal communication skills and a team player.

Key Skills, Certifications, Licenses or Registrations:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs required.

Raisers’ Edge or similar donor database skills preferred.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
