DARLINGTON FABRICS located in Westerly RI, is the global leader in end-use market sales of raschel, tricot, and satin warp-knit elastic fabrics, is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Sales Service Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing quality of service to customers from the point of order entry through shipment, invoicing and issue resolution. Included in the role is maintenance of inventory records and reacting to, and monitoring, the release of goods. This position interacts and follows up with all internal departments and applies an overall understanding of all processes within the organization. The Sales Service Department is a busy environment with much interaction with several customers within the US and other countries. Ample and thorough training will be provided with documented processes and checklists to insure success in the position.
Primary Functions:
Proactively investigate and resolve customer order delivery issues and communicate to the customer/sales office as required.
Foreign shipment regulatory management and follow-up for US filing
Maintain computer database & manual record keeping systems for individual accounts
Assure all customer requirements are documented throughout the system
Obtain freight quotes from preferred carriers, coordinate export shipments through customers or freight forwarders. Calculate cubic feet, density and create BOLs for customer shipments
Monitor corporate inventory availability and allocate/maintain orders as needed.
Process small package shipments via UPS, FED EX and DHL
Process inventory adjustments, reclassifications, and movement of fabric
Process rework paperwork and trial reclassifications
Prepare Excel documents prior to and post shipment to provide customers shipment information
Required/Preferred Knowledge/Training
High School diploma required.
Intermediate Excel proficiency required
Minimum two years Administrative/Customer Service experience required
Working knowledge of manufacturing software systems a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-motivator, creative thinker, team player, adaptable to changing deadlines or assignments, able to focus in a busy office environment
Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
Hours: Monday Friday 7:30-4:30pm or 8am-5pm with an hour for lunch. Occasional Saturday overtime.
