This position is responsible for supporting the Shipping and Receiving Operation in the Guilford Warehouse. Maintains all established processes, methods and controls of the function. This position will also be heavily involved in maintaining accurate inventory levels and physical inventory cycle counts and physical inventory stock counts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Accurately picking/packing of shipment product
⢠Responsible for accurate receipt and put -away of all in-bound deliveries
⢠Familiarity with bar-coded warehouse organization
⢠Responsible for shipping system operation
⢠Assist with physical inventory and cycle counting as needed
⢠Adheres to all policies and system procedures
⢠Recommend process and control improvements
⢠Assures both internal and external customer satisfaction
⢠Assists in the documentation of department activity
⢠Assist in the coordination of hand!ing of import and export requirements
⢠Other responsibilities as assigned by managers
QUALIFICATIONS:
⢠Ability to keep a clean and organized work environment
⢠Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repetitively
⢠Forklift experience preferred
⢠Basic PC skills required
⢠Follow 5S principles
⢠Apply safe lifting techniques and follow company safety procedures
⢠Must have previous successful distribution experience.
⢠Some mechanical/assembly ability required
⢠Must be detail and customer oriented
⢠Self motivated, requiring minimal supervision
⢠Excellent communication skills
