PC Support Specialist

Summary of Position:
The PC Support Specialist acts as a System Administrator for the Company’s systems and applications, provides End User support for PC and Network issues, as well as other administrative duties as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing system administration support to maintain the Company’s systems and applications including hardware and software
  • Providing general software support to end-users
  • Applying diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to research and resolve PC and System issues
  • Providing support for the Company’s phone systems and multi-purpose office devices.
  • Coordinating back-up procedures for all file servers
  • Completing daily activity monitoring logs.
  • Configuring and installing new PC and phone equipment
  • Maximizing use of hardware and software by training users, interpreting instructions and answering questions; preparing reference guides with operating instructions when required
  • Participating in various departments IT projects as required
  • Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential
  • Recording and documenting hardware and software changes and revisions
  • Performing other related duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Information Technology and networking exposure or experience
  • 2+ years of related experience as LAN administrator
  • 2+ years of related experience working with an Active Directory
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong will to help others
  • Strong attention to detail, and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a high-pressure environment and has the ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Perform assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis with an ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to recommend process improvements in the department to enhance efficiency
  • Strong sense of integrity and personal ethics
  • Flexibility to work beyond scheduled department hours on occasion to help ensure deadlines are being met
  • Ability to make use sound judgement in decision making
  • Adheres to all applicable Policies and Procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
