Title: Technical QA Manager Location: Trumbull, CT (Remote) Duration : Full time Job Description: We are seeking a Technical QA Manager, to join our Client's team. As the Technical QA Manager, you will handle metrics, productivity, efficiency, and full compliance within regulations and industry standards. What you'll be responsible for:
Provide quality oversight for all the company's technology programs in compliance with all regulations and industry standards
Provide senior level thought and leadership in the area of QA and risk management
Conduct various types of testing processes, including the following: functional, integration, automation, user acceptance, data management, and performance.
Estimate level of effort as part of the Agile Development process.
Continuously streamline and improve the testing life cycle to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting are effective, agile, and coordinated
Clearly communicates functional test results, concerns, and project status to the management team and other business partners in a timely manner
Lead, mentor, train and empower QA team across several releases and parallel projects. Includes forecasting, scheduling, and resource leveling, administration of the hiring process, goal setting, performance reviews, and salary administration.
Plan and implement test automation strategies and lead all aspects of the development of automation frameworks and tooling.
Influence developers to take part in testing exercises to reduce defects
Performs other related duties as assigned
What you need:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or similar applicable field
7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role
Testing Software: Client Quality Center, Client ALM, Selenium, mabl, Appium, or other software automation tools
DBMS: Microsoft SQL Server (ability to query and modify tables as needed)
Software development knowledge of C, C#, XML, JAVA, HTML
API Testing
Good interpersonal and listening skills, with a positive demeanor
Analytical, organized and detail oriented
Solid grasp of software QA methodologies and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
ITIL Certification
Six Sigma Certification
Familiarity with statistics and establishing metrics.
Experience in a Healthcare/Medicare/IFP call center environment
Experience with observability tools such as log aggregation (Splunk/ELK), time series databases (PrometheGraphite) and Distributed Tracing
Experience creating SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for web-based services
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
