RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Data Director in West Hartford, CT.
Summary:
The Product Data Director is the change agent responsible for installing robust processes, governance, discipline, and focus to our product data management efforts. This person will establish discipline in the area of product data management to fuel our initiatives to deliver a superior experience to website visitors trying to find products and product information, and to ensure we can meet our ecommerce growth goals to the channel, through the channel, and in our direct to consumer efforts.
Main Job Duties:
Build and drive adoption of enterprise product data strategies to manage, aggregate, and syndicate product data as aligned with the strategic direction of the organization
Lead the enterprise as the functional expert to establish and promote ecommerce product data governance framework across the organization
Identify, develop and execute projects and plans to improve the quality and use of data to support enterprise ecommerce data syndication, coordinate customer requests, and recommend solutions
Establish data quality requirements and align with business needs
Establish KPIs that represent the data governance framework and product data strategy across the four areas of the Product Data Quality CoE (Data Management, Digital Platforms, Data Syndication, and Customer Programs)
Responsible for indicators of performance and quality metrics; Regularly report to senior leadership the enterprise compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
Drive enterprise-wide collaboration across functional, technical, and business stakeholders (IT staff, data stewards, data analysts, and data consumers) to develop, implement, and manage an effective data governance program
Lead and facilitate meetings of the Data Governance Council; Propose solutions to issues consistent with data governance objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
Understand the complexities of eCommerce data architecture
Experience working with manufacturing product data
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.)
Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excel power user
Background in database management
Knowledge of best practices and frameworks of product data quality and governance
Excellent communication and presentation skills required
Must have strong time and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
A self-starter, with the ability to thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Must be highly organized, with a keen attention to detail
Must be able to work effectively across functional groups
Must have strong analytical skills
Experience working and managing in a matrixed organization is a plus
