Job Description Summary

The Facilities team is responsible for the the operation and maintenance for all plant utility systems. This position is for a seasoned professional in Facilities operations mechanical systems, who works independently, implements requisite changes and new or modified plans.

Inspects projects, participates in cross functional teams, performs prebuilding assessments, and plans maintenance activities.

Plans, designs and executes all Mechanical activities that are directly related to the physical creation of system products and the functional operation of the Clients facilities.

Job Description

Plans, designs and reconfigures equipment, machinery, buildings and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization facilities.

Identifies and resolves issues with preventive maintenance and the repairs of the facility utilities, mechanical, HVAC, steam, chilled water, tower water systems.

Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs. Gathers and reviews data, and construction feasibility.

Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.

Ensures federal, state and local Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire codes as well as the ASHRAE standards are adhered to at all times.

Follows established C&W and client site EH&S and facilities contractor management processes and procedures.

Review and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

The position requires an individual capable of independent work and site investigation under the direction and supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging / lifting devices

Regularly required to crouch and reach to install / move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine

Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work

Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you

Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing

Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics
