Busy breakfast and lunch cafe downtown Lewes currently hiring for kitchen manager and line cook positions.

LINE COOK

Must be able to get food out fast, get along with your coworkers and show up for your shift on time. We strive to keep a productive but fun vibe going in a busy, hot kitchen so bad attitudes need not apply. WEEKEND AND MORNING AVAILABILITY ARE A MUST.

KITCHEN MANAGER

Job description:

- manage and direct a kitchen crew of 6-10 people in accordance with company standards.

- oversees kitchen employees by training and developing their job skills; takes action regarding employees job performance with both discipline and/or appreciation.

- perform food cost analysis and provide monthly inventory reports

- cook on the line a majority of shifts

- orders all back of house product and does cost checking weekly

-scheduling for all back of house employees

- frequent communication with general manager and owner

- menu items do not change often so creative freedom is limited.

- Ranges between $35-50K salary based on experience. Opportunity for salary increase dependent on longevity with company.

Applicant Requirements:

- Leadership: you should have the ability to manage a kitchen crew of 6-10 people in accordance with company standards while still

- Line cook experience: prior kitchen

managaement is not necessary where the applicant possesses all other requirements. Culinary school is not required or preferred for this position.

-Team Player: maintaining an organized, upbeat but productive work environment which includes a cooperative attitude with front of house staff

-reliable transporation

-must be available on mornings and weekends. Shifts begin at 6 a.m.

-must work 5 days a week minimum with overtime required April-October.
