The Station on Kings is looking for qualified line cooks to join its growing culinary program. We are a cafe, bakery, and home & garden store located at the entry to Lewes. As summer approaches, we are planning on expanding our lunch and dinner menus and are seeking energetic, enthusiastic and passionate people to add to the kitchen team.
Main Job Functions:
- Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance standards set by the Chef.
- Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line.
- Food preparation and portioning prior to and during service.
Basic Requirements:
- One year kitchen experience
- A personal interest in quality, regional and sustainable food
- Working knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Great attention to detail
- Open availability - lunch shifts are 10AM-4PM, dinner shifts are 3PM-close.
All applicants must work well with others and be extremely dependable. Repeated lateness or calling out will not be tolerated.
