Immediate opening for medical assistant. Part-time position available. 12-4pm
Location: Specialist office in North Wilmington/ Brandywine Hundred
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office. Must thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be willing to jump in and do whatever is needed. Great opportunity for nursing students. We can work around your school schedule.
Medical Duties (60-80%): Duties include but not limited to the following:
⢠Prepare patient rooms, prep patients for the doctor, and gather patient information and health history
⢠Remove surgical dressings.
⢠Review medical care with patients and demonstrate the use of medical devices.
⢠Sterilize instruments
⢠Ordering tests for patients as well as printing out all prescriptions and reviewing instructions with patients
There is also a clerical component to this position (approximately 20-40% of the job), including but not limited to:
⢠Answering phones and scheduling appointments
⢠Preparing patient electronic charts
⢠Creating documents, and faxing
⢠Tracking inventory, and ordering supplies
Requirements:
Candidates must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, email) and must have experience with Electronic Medical Records, Health Insurance referrals and pre-certs
There are no benefits. Candidates that currently have health insurance are preferred.
Candidates must have reliable transportation
We are flexible and can work around your schedule if necessary.
Office is open Mon-Thurs 8:30-4:30pm.
References will be required (work related references, not family or friends)
Salary commensurate with experience
