This position requires knowledge of security system installation, hardware, software, networking and wiring of IP Based Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Security Systems, Automation systems, and Audio Video systems. The characteristics required to fill this position is of a self-starter that is task oriented, logical, detail-oriented person with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interface and communicate with customers clearly and effectively.

Job Requirements: Must be physically able to perform duties that may include installing low voltage wiring and control devices. This position may include activities on ladders, lifts, using power and hand tools, and operating in enclosed spaces. The work takes place on new construction sites or existing occupied facilities and may include carrying and moving parts and equipment.

* Understanding of building plans and specifications

Some computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Physically install UTP copper, fiber optic, and other audio and video cable and connectors.

Physically install active and passive voice, video, and data hardware.

Installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling wires to industry standards.

Terminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors, coaxial connectors, light-crimp connectors, compression connectors, solder connectors and optical fiber connectors.

Accurately test copper and fiber (multimode and single mode) cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment as required.

Diagnose and correct copper and optical fiber problems. Removal and demolition of abandoned cables.

References industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code.

Perform cable splices for copper and optical fiber (mechanical and fusion).

Effectively operate hand and power tools.

Maintain consistency and quality in the delivery of all projects.

Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for company assets including but not limited to vehicles, tools, and other test equipment.

Demonstrate complete understanding of assigned tasks.

BICSI Installer I certified or similar training preferred.

CommScope Certified a Plus

Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Ability to fulfill work accurately and thoroughly.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.

Ability to finish work, follow-through, and report on responsibilities.

Poses a valid driver's license and clean driving record Poses your own basic hand tools (Broadcast systems will provide specialty tools).

Ability to pass a background check (upon consideration of employment)

Some travel required Requirements

Experience with integrated security systems: 3 years

Experience with audio/video to include but not limited to 70 volt systems: 2 years

Experience with Structured cabling: 7 years

Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during the course of employment.

Must possess your own basic hand tools (punch tool, snips, drill, toner, pair tester, tools to terminate Cat5 UTP cabling and coaxial cabling, etc.) large tools and cable/fiber certifiers provided as needed.

Cable Technician to lead a team of cable technicians terminating Cat 6, Fiber, Coaxial and RG6 Siamese for voice/data and security camera cabling in commercial environments. RESPONSIBILITIES Give instructions/directions to cable installers Make sure technicians work in a quick manner and deliver quality work Ensure safety procedures and job etiquette is up to standards Pull, terminate, test and label Data cabling Terminate data jacks and patch panels Install ladder racks, networking equipment and telephone equipment Perform testing and troubleshooting of equipment and cabling Build out telecommunications, security and equipment rooms Ensure job site is cleaned.

QUALIFICATIONS Must have experience leading a team terminating Cat6 cabling Telecom hand tools and personal protection equipment required Must have reliable transportation, clean driver's license. Must be willing to travel up to 60% All positions require applicants undergo a background check and drug screen.

Any licenses and certifications a plus

In addition:

Additional openings for POTS, xDSL, ISDN, T1, and inside wiring installation and repair services. The majority of field technician's time would be spent doing hands on installation and repair of new service and repair of existing installations while maintaining job time-lines. Field Technician must rely on previous experiences and a high level of judgment to maintain quality standards and improve productivity. Installation work includes the physical placement of cross-connects, category 6A cable, wall jacks, hardware, and communications equipment. Repair work involves swapping customer premise equipment (CPE), troubleshooting inside wiring (IW), and testing circuits. Dispatches may include site surveys, pulling and terminating cables, determining and implementing required pin-outs, installing and configuring equipment, testing and documenting installations, dressing/cosmetic cabling and labeling. Computer, Point-of-Sale (POS), and PBX experience is also helpful.

We are an On-Call field service company that supplies "hands and eyes" troubleshooting support for national and international Enterprise companies on a per-job basis. Work is customer driven, so there is no guarantee of work volume. Please be aware that the position offered is a 1099 contract position.

Many of the jobs that are dispatched will be during standard business hours, however there is the occasional after-hours work.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must have basic understanding of DSL, T1, POTS circuits, and wireless LANs

One or more of the following: A+, Network+, or equivalent experience.

Exposure to telecommunications technology and infrastructure.

Good communication skills, both oral and in written.

Ability to work with management and engineering personnel at all levels.

Ability to work independently and to use common sense and sound technical judgment to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Must possess the aptitude to learn new technologies.

High degree of technology literacy including CCTV, Routers and Networking.

Knowledge of personal computers, networks, and general router configuration.

Must have a reliable means of transportation, laptop, cell phone and own hand tools.

Must be physically able to climb ladders, work in crawl spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be willing to travel an average of 30 miles from home or office.

Experience in copper cable installation (certifications a plus)

Desired Skills/Experience (not required):

Must be able to provide a driver's license, proof of legal ability to work, pass an extensive criminal background check.

Knowledge of Cisco Networking Equipment (certifications a plus)

Fiber Optic installation, support, troubleshooting and testing

Experience in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems

Experience in POTS, IPPBX, PBX and Key Systems

Position is 1099 but as opportunities arise, may turn to permanent.

Position starts as 1099 contractor with the ability of becoming a W2 employee.
