Summary
Operate and assist in maintenance of plant and dredge at sand / gravel quarry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of OSHA / MSHA and Pioneer Materials
Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc).
Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance with all safety policies; conducting toolbox talks and ensuring personnel have the appropriate tools and equipment.
Communicate regularly with plant / dredge to ensure all processes are proceeding according to appropriate standards.
Proper and safe start up and shut down of plant / dredge.
Monitoring operation of plant / dredge, making necessary adjustments and maintenance on plant / dredge, including oil levels and grease dredge.
Responsible for daily production reports.
Other duties as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance.
Demonstrate friendly and business-like attitude towards vendors, customers, truck drivers, fellow employees and supervisors.
Become a team member and help achieve the common goals of the company.

Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
Able to work independently with attention to detail
Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment
Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations
Education and / or Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent
Language Skills
Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, management and clients.
Reasoning Ability
Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
