Job Description

The primary duties of the candidate:

• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Reports to and informs the Maintenance Manager on a regular basis of all PM, corrective work, and project status, training status and requirements as well as parts and material updates.
• Participates in safety and continuous quality improvement projects and other activities as assigned.
• Plans and develops job plans and work package to ultimately improve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency while improving maintenance health and operations up-time.
• Maintains maintenance parts and supplies inventory.
• Provides weekly KPI’s for schedule and PM compliance, planning efficiency, etc.
• Originates and implements purchase orders, including vendor setup and EMIS data entry and necessary reports.
• Completes work orders in SAP
• Coordinates outside vendors to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs and reviews performance for quality and cost effectiveness.
• Manages and maintains SAP maintenance assets, inventory and PM’s.
• Holds weekly scheduling meeting and coordinates all planned maintenance work while giving updates on upcoming work order status.
• Complete written documentation as required.
• Ability to work outside of 7am-3pm shift, if needed. Overtime may be required weekdays, after hours, and weekends to meet schedule and priority demands.
• Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance Planning / scheduling required

· Two-year Technical College or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.

· Parts ordering and inventory control experience preferred.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industrial maintenance environment preferred.

· SAP CMMS experience preferred

Maintenance Technician Leads are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
