responsible for defining and improving the architecture review process end to end overseen by Architecture Review Board (ARB). ARB serves as a governance body ensuring IT initiatives align with Ecosystem Architecture and ultimately align with organization IT goals, strategies, and objectives.

You will be operating at a strategic level, identifying which projects need an architecture review/ which don’t; getting the projects scheduled for ARB review based on priority, documenting the outcome of ARB review, communicating the outcome and provide relevant metrics. You will define and streamline the architecture review process bringing continuous improvement mindset.

More detailed responsibilities include:

• Establish or enhance architectural and design principles and best practices
• Evaluate solution designs per best practices, if design is rejected provide recommendations for improvement
• Solicit and consider input from other governing bodies during decision making process
• Document rationale for decision in meeting minutes or other documentation
• Facilitate collaboration across areas to exploit IT synergies and avoid duplication
• Identification of innovation in IT that can help the business (e.g., new technologies)
• Influence product development senior management on enterprise-level innovation roadmap strategy and assist Product Leaders with business guidance, consultative direction, and knowledge development
• Solution leadership on complex, supporting RFPs requiring collaboration and input from multiple divisions
• Implement solutions focusing on reuse and industry standards at a program, enterprise or operational scope.
• Engage extensively with development teams, related enterprise/software architects, business analysts, etc.
• Apply extensive analytical skills to address the needs of corporate strategy, understand technology specifics, understand how different parts of the business operation are connected and how business processes achieve goals.

Key Activities -
• Governance - ensuring the effective running of the Architecture Review Board & that proper governance frameworks are established. Bring continuous improvement approach on process improvement.
• Manage, maintain & develop the Architecture Repository & own Reference Architecture.
• Be responsible for Architecture tooling, standards, principles & best-practice processes.
• Ensure the effective & smooth running of the practice.
• Driving home the role & impact of Architecture across a global organization.
• Provide meaningful metrics including trend analysis etc.

Basic Qualifications for consideration:
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, design and implementation, involving demonstrated project management, resource management, business analysis and leadership skills. Familiar with functions of hardware, software, and network systems
• 3+ years of experience in, technical support, implementation, and/or product development with strong consultative and strategic sales support skill sets
• Prior experience as architecture practice manager.
• Strong understanding of modern data, software and cloud practices. Knowledge in mainframe operations is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, emotional intelligence, with the ability to listen, advise, empathize and explain to varied audiences, at all levels.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
• Bachelor’s degree
