The Solution Architect will be responsible for assessing current and future business needs, analyzing existing capabilities (process and technology), evaluating in-flight/planned initiatives, and developing the roadmap to take the business from its current state to future state. The consultant will serve as both an internal subject matter expert and an application/system architect.

Responsibilities:
  • Create the solution approach, presentation/communication of the solution, in the areas of Sales Forecasting, Operations, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain.
  • Participate in the business need assessment and requirement gathering.
  • Identify and assess business problems as related to area of role & responsibility, data gaps, and process inefficiencies.
  • Provide guidance with respect to “best practices”.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve business processes and outcomes.
  • Assess key initiatives (business and technology) to gauge the potential impacts on the solution.
  • Provide recommendations and options for consideration, create design documents and high-level process flows, and develop functional specifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with business to define future state – process, data, and capability perspectives.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop a technical framework to deliver the future state.
  • Create the roadmap to deliver the future state, considering key initiatives (e.g. SAP S4/HANA implementation).
  • Socialize and gain acceptance of proposed solution (roadmap) from impacted stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years of business process expertise in Supply Chain Management and Planning is required.
  • Broad knowledge of available COTS software solutions, tools, technical standards, and integration techniques.
  • Working knowledge of SAP APO, SAP IBP, O9, and Anaplan highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S4/HANA is required.
  • Experience with system integration involving ERP, add-on applications, and trading partners are required.
  • Experience in the process industry; especially in the chemical/materials industry is required.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise technical infrastructure required.
  • Proven ability to create strategies and execute those strategies.
  • Experience with multi-company and multi-country implementation is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change.
