It is required that the Storage Engineer - Lead has the following qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience leading and managing the operations of a storage area networks, specializing in SAN and backup architecting.
Must have experience managing projects and workloads for technical support teams.
Ability to develop and maintain backup schedule. Ability to document and maintain procedures, monitor and control storage systems and performance, manage file transfers and other data movement activities, perform backups and restores, perform backup audits. Ability to Develop and deliver recommendations on the Backup and Storage Architecture. Ability to Develop and deliver plans on shared storage consolidation and Application Server migration to Shared Storage environment on a quarterly and on demand basis. Ability to Develop and deliver a Backup and Storage Services refresh plan on an annual and on demand basis as requested by the Government. Ability to Develop and deliver plans for meeting OCIO-managed Backup and Storage demands. Ability to Develop and deliver plans to add additional Shared Storage.
Ability to Design, test, and support implementation of approved updates to the Backup and Storage Services architecture. Ability to Design and support implementation of backup and storage consolidation based on approved recommendations. Ability to Support the deployment, management, communication, and reporting on activities related to Storage Services asset refresh; deliver monthly status report. Design and support the implementation of Backup and Storage provisioning and allocation processes based on approved policies. Ability to Follow all Federal and DOT laws, regulations, mandates, and guidelines, policies, procedures, and security requirements to ensure that data is backed up and stored securely.
Qualifications
Experience: Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience leading and managing the operations of a storage area networks, specializing in SAN and backup architecting. Must have experience managing projects and workloads for technical support teams. Bachelors degree may be substitued for 4 years of experience.
