Business Group HighlightsCivilian, State and LocalPerspecta’s Civilian, State and Local segment partners with the U.S. Federal Civilian State and Local governments to provide infrastructure services, business solutions, and digital transformation services that help them achieve policy objectives and integrate citizen-centric services.ResponsibilitiesCandidate Requirement: Top Secret Clearance (Active)Short description:The scope of this effort is to provide data center management services to support CA IT infrastructure for the HW/SW platforms on which Consular Affairs (CA) IT systems reside and operate at two Data Centers located in the Washington, DC area. The Data Center Engineer (DCE) provides support at the facilities working closely with the Government as requested. The DCE will support the ISSO and ensure that security and internal controls are handled in accordance with DOS policies and procedures. The DCE will ensure that all problems and incidents are logged into the Ticket Management System and managed in accordance with the DOS policies and procedures. This activity requires coordination with the facility managers for the DOS data centers.Introduction:The position requirements described below support the DCE position. The candidate should have demonstrated experience working at a client site in a high stress and high threat environment and deliver measureable results. The candidate should provide outstanding customer service to internal customers in response to received service requests.The candidate will contribute to the following activities:

Assist with operations of the two CA Data Centers’ infrastructure.

Minimize impact to CA operations during planned Data Center maintenance.

Plan for buildout of new CA infrastructure for the Data Center, to include space, power, network and storage.

Coordinate delivery and implementation of CA equipment.

Manage the CA Data Center Access Control List and access to the Data Center.

Coordinate, review and manage POC information with IRM for all Enterprise Server Operations Center (ESOC) Outage notifications.

Coordinate the deployment of new hardware assets to replace aging equipment, which required organizing the migration of virtual infrastructure assets in such a way that data center resources could continue to be available for new hardware without causing any outages or downtime for the services still operating on the old hardware, while still minimizing the physical data center footprint

Coordinate hardware installation and power connection requests with site facility engineers

Receive and account for all line items of newly purchased equipment

Perform site asset management and auditing to account for all procured equipment

Perform complex troubleshooting to accurately diagnose the cause of service interruptions and quickly implement resolutions.

Develop, maintain, and communicate diagrams, system configurations and technical documentation.

Provide and ensure availability, efficiency and effectiveness of systems, SW, HW, and data as well as technical support for testing and evaluation purpose.
