Financial Management and Audit Remediation - Senior Consultant

Responsibilities

Support audit remediation activities, such as developing / updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing / implementing corrective action plans

Perform recurring testing, such as testing internal controls, designing and executing Manager’s Internal Controls Programs

Provide targeted area support based on agency needs (e.g., performing root cause analysis for journal vouchers and FBWT variances, conducting PP&E audit remediation, etc.)

Manage and execute projects; provide guidance and direction

Review documents prepared by junior personnel

Analyze detailed finance and accounting processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities, facilitate audit requests, plan and perform tests of controls and balances

Identify and address client needs : actively participate in client discussions and meetings

Minimum Requirements

8+ years’ finance and accounting experience

CPA or CISA certification

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or other related field.

Experienced in leading teams to include assigning work tasks to team members, overseeing and directing team member efforts.

Ability to develop, maintain, and monitor work products and project plans

A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Ability to work with clients to understand their needs.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Professional presence is required.

Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.

Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.

Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.

Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
