Join us.ResponsibilitiesOur Finance consultants help clients optimize all elements of their finance organization, including operating model design, sustainable cost reduction, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial systems architecture, and full scale finance transformation. This high performing team helps CFOs identify, design and implement programs that transform their finance function to meet today’s demanding requirements while continuing to provide value added insights to the business.QualificationsQualificationsMinimum Education/ Certification Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the tasking.Professional Experience These individuals shall possess a minimum of five years progressive experience in supporting change management, strategic communications, business process reengineering, or financial management systems implementation initiatives, including three years’ experience managing projects. These individuals manage and execute projects and provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks. They review all documentation prepared by more junior personnel and are responsible for initial drafting of final project reports prior to submission for approval. They prepare work products of high complexity. They assume responsibility for coordination of subordinate activities, monitor project performance and staff relationships, interface with the client on a day-to-day basis, conduct performance reviews of other less experienced staff, and correct errors identified during acceptance process.Responsibilities Track, monitor and report on system development of a transportation management system (TMS) for transporting cargo. Attend workgroup meetings with TMS lead contractor and monitor system changes, updates and site testing of TMS system. Monitor developments with TMS system financial and audit-readiness capabilities. Monitor agency media outlets for news/matters pertaining to TMS. Monitor ongoing progress of electronic document system development supporting TMS. Prepare biweekly reports to senior management on TMS updates and developments. Provide accounting and technical assistance on migration of JV processing from a central processing center to distributed accounting offices. Develop reporting methods to track the progress of JV migration. Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot problem areas and assist in developing remedial solutions.Experience Preferred Experience with DoD. Experience in providing audit readiness or audit remediation support, or performing financial statement audits, within the federal government or DoD. Experience in facilitating or conducting briefings, presentations, or status updates with senior leaders. Experience developing accounting policy and presenting recommended options to relevant stakeholders. Experience working in an audit advisory capacity regarding DoD Transportation policy. Experience with development of a commercial off the shelf (COTS) transportation financial environment. Experience identifying relevant audit and accounting requirements that must be met with the COTS transportation financial environment. Experience working with the Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS), including the use of journal vouchers in the DoD’s financial reporting process. Working knowledge of the DoD Financial Management Regulation.
