The Group Director leads cross-disciplinary teams to oversee digital strategies in partnership with our other team leaders to support our unique client mix across the organization. The Group Director manages a significant portion of our business and supports management of the Accounts team, with a focus on setting strategic growth plans for our client businesses and a vision for evolving our Relationship Management Function at Finn. The GD should be able to understand complex business and marketing challenges and guide the client through these challenges and help them to set and achieve their marketing objectives. The Group Director also acts as a resource and support for other junior team members and may cultivate their growth as they progress. Responsibilities Manage a significant portion of our business and Accounts team, setting strategic growth. Write and produce plans for our client businesses in collaboration with other Finn employees and representatives
Serve as a senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensure that expectations are set and met, and leverage client satisfaction into future opportunities
Ensure successful program and project management, including planning and scheduling, cost estimating, and delivery oversight
Ensure that the technical, creative and strategic direction aligns with the client’s business objectives and KPIs and ensure that all client deliverables are the highest quality work product
Develop action-oriented planning and working documents and other communications that express those strategic and tactical ideas, proposals and memoranda, presentations, strategic plans, and other materials, both independently and in collaboration with other Finn employees and representatives
Understand and interpret business intelligence data to ensure account health
Training, supporting and cultivating a best in class Account Services function within Finn Integrated Marketing
Resolves problems associated with projects to ensure client satisfaction
Leads and participates in new business pitches and direction
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree
At least twelve-plus years of agency or design studio experience in account supervision/project management
A deep understanding of marketing and an omni-channel approach to strategy development and execution
At least 5 years managing teams and dotted line reports
Requirements
Deep understanding of all Integrated Marketing product and service offerings and ability to oversee the team, strategy and execution
G Suite (sheets, docs, slides) Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Acrobat experience a must
Experience in selling and/or delivering integrated marketing programs
A sense of empathy; a player-coach mentality in supporting internal teams and junior staff members
An excellent public speaker
Extensive understanding of agency business goals, data and its relationship to resourcing and capacity building across the team
Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure with excellent communication, management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Must be a solutions-oriented problem solver and strategic thinker
Must be a team player and be able to manage staff members directly and indirectly
Must thrive on managing multiple complex projects
