education, and retirement services.SCOPE:This senior position reports directly to the Regional General Manager in the Atlantic South Region and is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the communications consulting practice for the region. The individual will play a key role in the region partnering with the Territory General Managers and Communications Consulting Practice Leaders from the other regions to drive scorecard results and strengthen our recordkeeping relationship with clients. This position leads a team of Communication Consultants who are responsible for developing and deploying strategic employee communications, education and advice (CE&A) plans that are designed to provide our clients’ employees a compelling reason to enroll with TIAA, make informed investment decisions and increase savings in their employer sponsored retirement program or other vehicles while acting in the best interests of our clients and their employees.RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will have strategic agility, can create breakthrough strategies and plans, has broad knowledge, perspective, and is results oriented. They can easily evaluate a situation, identify creative solutions, quickly implement and pivot to the next opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be a key member of the regional leadership team that proactively drives success across the region in many areas including new entrants, net flows and proprietary product penetration.

This person will have significant client facing experience and a demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships with our clients.

This individual will represent TIAA in formal sales presentations to position TIAA’s CE&A capabilities with new clients, existing clients, retirement plan consultants and industry associations. It requires exceptional public speaking skills, a comfort level presenting to all levels of management, an executive presence and the ability to effectively deliver difficult messages to clients.

The candidate must have a deep understanding of marketing strategy development, how to position, coordinate, generate and measure impactful, fully integrated and scalable marketing programs to meet key business objectives.

This person will effectively measure and report the results and ROI generated by their team. They will align those results with our key business goals, and make adjustments to programs to ensure continuous improvement and high performance.

MANAGEMENT

This candidate will be responsible for 5-10 Communications Consultants and have experience in developing and leading teams through periods of business transformation and change.

Ability to build a cohesive team of associates who work in different locations.

Actively manage performance of the Communications Consultants against scorecard goals.

This person may manage to a stated T&E budget.

They will ensure their team accurately forecasts marketing expenses on a timely basis and use resources in the most efficient way possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIRED

10+ years in financialservices, specifically retirement industry (15-20 years’ experience preferred).BA/BS Degree required (major in business, marketing,communications or related field)

Employeeengagement, Communication, Education or Advice (CE&A) expertise.

FINRA Series 7 at time of application orelse within the first 120 days (4 months) after start date and as acondition of employment

PREFERRED

Strong analyticalskills and the ability to assess and report on the effectiveness ofmarketing initiatives and communicate results

Advanced PowerPoint,Excel, and Salesforce Skills

Master’sDegree in business, marketing, communications (or related field)

FINRASeries 24 or 26 and Variable Life Annuity State Insurance registrationspreferred
