    Core Responsibilities Department Specific
    • Apply full software development life cycle (SDLC).
    • Performance Standards: Gather requirements, design, develop, debug, produce, refine, test, deploy and document software systems and applications within committed time.
    • Maintain engineering best practices and standards compliance.
    • Performance Standards: All code developed meets the standards and goes through the code review process within committed time.
    • Perform independent research and development of technology solutions for integration with current and future systems environments.
    • Performance Standards: Research a technology; prepare and conduct one developer session per year. Actively participate in team developer sessions.
    • Support Agile Methodology
    • Performance Standards: Fully support the Agile process with tasking, estimating, and attending Scrum meetings. Work with Product Manager and Lead Software Engineer on stories and estimates bi- monthly. Report accurate time.
    • Secondary Duties
    • Conduct system analysis and development to keep our systems current with changing technologies.
    • Analyze current programs and processes and make recommendations which yield a more effective and robust product.
    • Collaborate with upper management with estimating stories and long-term planning.
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field; or, a combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute.
    • 5 or more years of experience in software development
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to manage and solve multiple, complex problems.
    • Excellent customer management/internal consulting skills. Agile methodologies experience is preferred.
    • Position requires at least 5 or more years of experience in C# .NET (either .NET Framework or .NET Core)
    • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
    • Experience with modern JavaScript language features and frameworks e.g., Angular or React, Next.js, Node.js 14+
    • Experience developing REST APIs and API integrations with other systems
    • Familiar with Git branching and merging strategies
    • Familiar with developing and deploying applications in Docker containers
    • Experience developing cloud native application on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred but not required. Current stack uses EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, and SQS.
    • Minimal travel including weekends may occasionally be required.
