JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Technology Director, Analytics & Information Management, serves as a strategist and visionary with a keen eye on leading practices for 's data & analytics investments and priorities. This role works with executive level leaders to understand unfolding and persistent business challenges and determine analytical and technology approaches to solve those problems in new and novel ways. This role drives alignment to the Data Strategy and ensures that the data strategy evolves with changing business needs and technology advancement. Additionally, this role works with IT leadership and the Analytics and Information Management Team to determine best-fit tools and technology to support innovation solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Supports the creation of an integrated information technology plan to support one of more IT Services. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Partners with business leaders to develop analytics strategies to support business priorities.

  • Participates in the governance board that defines the IT mission, oversees operations, and determines IT investments, pricing, and product strategies.

  • Supports managing risk and security within the service in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Risk and Compliance Teams.

  • Develops Data Management strategies and works with key stakeholders to build, maintain and Data Management and Data Governance

  • Supports digitization plans for business units within to help to effectively use analytics to become a data-driven organization.

  • In addition, the role must have:


    • Knowledge of state-of-the-art analytics and data technologies and their application to solving business problems.

    • An ability to develop innovative analytic strategies and use them to solve complex problems.

    • An understanding of how data should be structured and organized to best support enterprise needs.

    • Ability to quickly grasp the drivers of business performance at a corporate and functional level and develop approaches to leverage data and analytics solutions.

    • Conduct data profiling, assessment, and analysis, particularly in service of analytics 'proof of concepts.'

    • Produce insights by leveraging new data sources or combining data from multiple origins; Illustrate potential analytics solutions.

    • Serve as a 'trusted partner' to senior leadership by ensuring that IT solutions align to the key business challenges.

    • Support 's Data Management practice and bring together stakeholders support all aspects of Data Management including Data Governance.

    • Provides technical oversight and direction for the choice of analytics tools used as standard within the Analytics and Information Management and works with business stakeholders to select appropriate technologies to support department and project needs.

    • Build and support communities of practice in 's business community to facilitate a common understanding the interaction between data, process, and to serve as the liaison to Data Analysts and Operations Research people embedded in business units.



REQUIREMENTS:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information System, or related field with 13+ year's relevant experience or 17+ years of relevant work experience in business systems, development and/or support functions.



  • Client expectation management, program management, financial management and technology product delivery experience are required.

  • May require in-depth knowledge of one or more processes/services. Business experience should include assignments in multiple business and technical processes and financial management.

  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art analytics and data technologies and their application to solving business problems.

  • An ability to develop innovative analytic strategies and use them to solve complex problems.

  • An understanding of how data should be structured and organized to best support enterprise needs.

  • Ability to quickly grasp the drivers of business performance at a corporate and functional level and develop approaches to leverage data and analytics solutions.

  • Conduct data profiling, assessment, and analysis, particularly in service of analytics 'proof of concepts.'

  • Produce insights by leveraging new data sources or combining data from multiple origins; Illustrate potential analytics solutions.

  • Serve as a 'trusted partner' to senior leadership by ensuring that IT solutions align to the key business challenges.




PREFERRED:




  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Management, or relevant field

  • 15 years relevant work experience

  • Experience working in large complex companies that heavily rely on real time 24x7 IT operations to successfully service external customers.




ENVIRONMENT:




  • Work is performed in an office environment

  • May require travel up to 10% of the time

  • Requires on-call status

  • After hours and periodic shift work may occasionally be required

  • Additional duties as assigned


Notes:

Let's say the VP of Procurement needs to solve a problem. Needs AI to devise a strategy to stock warehouse. Or the VP of Finance wants a strategy to better manage cash flow against ticket sales. This person will partner with them to find solution. Determine if they use internal tools or if they have to bring a new tool or outsurce to vendor. They would talk to the LOBs prior to building requirements.
