Serve as a supervisor under a Branch Chief within the Fraud
Detection and National Security Directorate (FDNS) and report to
the Branch Chief and Division Chief.
Direct subordinates in the conduct of inquiries, comprehensive
reviews of application types to determine fraud levels and
vulnerabilities, and in the development of USCIS anti-fraud,
national security, and intelligence, procedures and guidance.
Engage with other USCIS entities in the development and
promotion of USCIS anti-fraud, national security, and
intelligence policies, procedures, and guidance.
Coordinate fraud, public safety, and national security
initiatives with local, regional and national USCIS offices, as
well as other state, local and federal law enforcement agencies
and task forces.
Perform the first-line administrative and HR management
functions relative to the staff supervised, establish guidelines
and performance expectations for staff members, and prepare
plans, reports and analyses of FDNS work for the Directorate.

QualificationsRelocation expenses are authorized if you are a USCIS employee
assigned to the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations program
and have been approved for rotation from an overseas assignment.
Relocation expenses for USCIS employees assigned to an OCONUS
location will be considered on a case-by-case basis.The Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate (FDNS) was
established within USCIS to strengthen national security and the
integrity of the country's legal immigration system by closely
aligning the adjudication of immigration benefits and services with
the identification of potential threats to national security and/or
public safety, the detection and deterrence of fraud, and the use of
law enforcement and intelligence information to ensure optimal
security for U.S. communities. FDNS systematically identifies
updates, and records indicators of fraudulent activities; manages
fraud cases; identifies vulnerabilities and other weaknesses that
compromise the integrity of the legal immigration system; and
coordinates and provides logistical support in law enforcement and
national security matters. FDNS is the primary conduit for
information sharing and collaboration with law enforcement and
intelligence agencies.GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1)
year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13
level in the federal government, which has equipped you with the
skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. In
addition to the requirements at the lower grade levels, you must
have experience performing the following duties:
Adjudicating refugee or asylum immigration applications and
reviewing or investigating immigration benefits for fraud or
national security concerns.
Providing technical and administrative support to a staff of
officers and analysts engaged in programs administering the
Immigration and Nationality Act (such as Adjudicators,
Inspections, Investigations, and the Border Patrol).
Coordinating and leading teams in addressing complex policy and
procedural diverse issues. Establish and maintain liaison with
management and government officials.
Analyze, establish, and implement program goals and objectives.
Establish long-range work plans and determine the actions
necessary to accomplish objectives.
