MindPoint Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager for an exciting opportunity in Washington DC.

  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables
  • Develop project plans that merge customer requirements with customer goals and coordinate various managers and technical teams/personnel during all project phases ensuring security is incorporated throughout to ensure timely and quality delivery to the customer
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure their strict adherence to MPG and client standards of quality and performance; provide a “one team” view to the client
  • Formulate and enforce work standards, assign staff work schedules, and review and resolve work discrepancies
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Ensure timely, complete, high-quality contract deliverables within project scope and budget
  • Select and provide metrics and reports to make program status and performance visible to the client and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders in order to complete mandatory agency data calls in a timely manner
  • Interface with client’s senior management personnel, including briefings up to CIO/CISO level
  • Optimize processes to maximize efficiencies within the team and program, including staying apprised of security trends, orders, and mandates
  • Be a positive change agent, both within and outside the organization; propagate our corporate culture throughout the program
  • Oversee Incident Response and Risk Management activities; track and manage risks and issues through closure
  • Build, grow, and develop high-performing teams aligned with the customer’s mission and strategy
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
  • Ensure all productions systems are assessed in a timely manner
  • Participate and liaise FISMA audits
  • Guide and mentor team staff.

Qualifications

  • Active Publicclearance required
  • 8+ years of experience managing large, complex federated cybersecurity projects
  • Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, and analytic and problem-solving skills are required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with NIST RMF, Cloud Technologies, Security and Network Tools, SDLC, Microsoft Office and other program and project management tools and applications is required

Desired Certifications:

  • PMP certification, or willingness to obtain PMP certification
  • ITIL certification
  • Security+, Network+
  • CISSP or similar certification.
  • Agile experience and certifications are a plus
  • Other relevant IT certifications are a plus.

As an IT Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Serves as an IT Project Manager (PM) managing and overseeing the performance of complex and highly sensitive administrative, analytical, and technical duties relative to Information Technology (IT) systems development, testing, evaluation functions, life cycle logistics, resource management, risk management, and leadership. Serves as the Business Relationship Manager (BRM), working as a liaison between end users, solutions engineers, and project teams to deliver valued IT solutions. Manages a portfolio of IT-related projects from initiation to completion, including project management of new and ongoing projects.
