We are recruiting for a

Creative Director with experience supporting veterans suicide prevention programs. Qualified candidates will have experience supporting Veterans Suicide Prevention programs for VA, VHA, or DoD organizations and experience executing enterprise level brand campaigns. Demonstrated expertise in audience analysis and the development of targeted communication strategies is required. Current Public Trust clearance is required; VA credentials (VA PIV card) is preferred.

Location Note: This is a Washington, DC based effort and remote work from other U.S. based locations will be considered. Some travel may be required with this position (undefined at this time).

Role and responsibilities include:
  • Support development of creative brand campaigns, including direct-mail, television, radio, press, e-mail, and other channels to effectively communicate healthcare mission, goals, initiatives, and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure a complete understanding of the complex and technical aspects and social issues of Veteran healthcare needs
  • Provide expertise to defiene and influence strategy for program initiatives
  • Develop healthcare related visual communication for internal and external stakeholders through the use of graphics design, production, advertising, print broadcast services and web site design
  • Oversee the process of logo design, periodical design, and web design to ensure that results align with organizational goals
  • Support the defining, implementing, and executing of a communications strategy that establishes consistent messaging, public relations management, and structured internal and external communication practices
  • Support travel for future business meetings, if requested

Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizenship (Green Card Holders with current VA/VHA credentials will be considered)
  • Current Public Trust or ability to obtain VA suitability; current VA PIV card preferred
  • Master's degree in a related discipline (Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, and similar areas)
  • 10+ years of experience developing communications products related to suicide prevention
    • 1 year of overall experience must be working in a public health environment supporting suicide prevention efforts
  • 8+ years of related experience in graphics design, production, advertising, print broadcast services and web site design
  • Experience developing national-level communication products related to suicide prevention
  • Experience with suicide prevention programs and practices in the federal sector for VA/VHA, DoD, and federal organizations
  • Experience developing and implementing visual communication strategies in multiple mediums based on audience analysis
  • Experience working collaboratively to meet time-constraining deadlines for a government agency
  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with co-workers, teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
  • Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to travel, if requested
  • Effective communication skills to work with a blended government and contractor team
