Description
Our client, a data science-driven professional services and software company is looking for an experienced Application Developer to join their growing team. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to building applications and frameworks supporting data analysis, searching, reporting, conversion, normalization, extraction, and categorization from various forms of electronic data from a variety of sources, both structured and unstructured. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of their clients.
What you would do in this job:
• Develop efficient and elegant Node.JS code base supporting the requirements of the Data Science team.
• Create microservices that can be decoupled and recombined to solve new problems.
• Integrate Azure services into projects to leverage capability.
• Develop Authorization Model.
• Troubleshoot support application and database issues (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres or Neo4j) to help end users effectively navigate the system.
• Craft UI elements.
• Support the Data Science team with data ingestion, conversion and processing.
• Assist in the development of data science products.
• Assist in data formatting and processing of data for analysis.
• Create and maintain databases for effective and accurate data collection, staging, loading, extraction and normalizing.
• Provide solution architecture development, as needed.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in technical areas such as computer programming, math, statistics or engineering; candidates with equivalent years of related experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in software development preferred.
• Qualification to handle export-controlled data.
• Expertise in Node.JS required.
• Technical proficiency in databases and programming languages such as JavaScript, R/R Studio, Neo4j, Git, Oracle, Jupyter, SQL or similar is required.
• Experience creating or consuming APIs required.
