Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Scheduler will be responsible for providing support and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule Program of Veteran Affairs Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM). The CFM project portfolio includes major construction, seismic, real property projects as well as other special projects.

The work of the assignment will be at Washington DC and contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing schedules for new projects, update and maintain existing schedules, re-baselining, resource loading and analyzing data

Instruct project team members on the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) process, schedules comparisons/variances, and generate reports and graphics

Perform a full range of scheduling services to support the Integrated Master Schedule program

Develop schedules for new projects and maintain schedules for the existing CFM project portfolio

Develop schedules for new projects and maintain schedules for the existing CFM project portfolio

Provide detail in a schedule to indicate performance measures which allow management to be informed and proactive in high-risk areas that could cause a delay(s)

Develops metrics with alerts to show activity slippage and aid Project Managers in decision making prior to a project slippage

Collaborate and assist in analyzing data, generating reports, developing new and maintaining existing IMS templates, fragnet and schedules for the CFM project portfolio to include major construction, seismic, real property, and other special projects

Develop new schedules as projects start

Develop work break down structure and activity codes

Update and maintain existing schedules

Identify schedule changes, discrepancies, and potential schedule risks

Provide or modify templates and fragnets

Organize files in the designated VA database(s)

Analyze data and provide reports

Participate in meetings, use expertise and experience to propose and recommend new ideas for improvement

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

Bachelor’s degree required in construction, engineering or related field

Minimum of five (5) year experience as it relates to developing and maintaining life cycle project schedules with Integrated Master Schedules on major construction projects (exceeding $100K)

Must have working experience in Oracle Primavera programs including the latest version of P6

Demonstrate a full range of scheduling services, including resource loading and EVM

Display scheduling training or other credentials or related certificates such as Planning Scheduling Professional (PSP), Project Management Professional (PMP)

Experienced in working with complex engineering and construction projects, preferably in a medical facility environment, performing IMS duties

Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
