Background:
Metric5 is currently seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a mid-sized agile software development, and modernization program.
Our Senior Program Manager will manage agile software development teams and oversee delivery of all agile software development, cloud services, and O&S for our client/project. You will be responsible for providing status updates on all activities to include performance, financial management, schedule compliance, personnel management, training, and security. You will provide content management solutions, daily communications, end-user engagement, sprint review reports, project retrospectives, and regular snapshots of project velocity and budget burn rate. You will lead the team through successful releases of React, Angular, .Net, and Java application product upgrades; and manage the teams who support alpha SW development testing, beta testing at customer sites, systems engineering/administration, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
A successful candidate will have hands-on experience as a Senior Program Manager in a Federal Government Agency IT environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • PMP or PMI-ACP Certified Level III, or FAC-P/PM Senior Level , or DAWIA PM Level III required
  • 10 + years of experience in Program Management in government Information Technology
  • 7 + years of experience leading mid-size to large agile software development teams
  • 5 + years of demonstrated success in delivering functional code utilizing agile design and development techniques for advanced enterprise cloud/non-cloud based websites and mobile applications
  • 5 + years of experience of managing programs architecting applications on AWS or similar cloud solutions
  • 3 + years of experience in managing programs that implement DevOps and CI/CD concepts using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Docker/Kubernetes, and testing tools such as SonarQube, JMeter
  • 2 + years of experience in managing programs that are developing and deploying microservices in a cloud environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Agile software solutions using Test Driven Development or Adaptable Software Design
  • Must be a strong, bold, assertive, opinionated communicator who can work with government, vendors, contractors, and staff
  • Familiarity with Federal Government SDLC / SDF
  • Exceptional writing skills - must have experience creating/writing/ownership of project life cycle documentation

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Agile Certification (Agile Certified Practitioner PMI-ACP or SAFe Scaled Agilist)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Certifications: PMP or PMI-ACP Certified Level III, or FAC-P/PM Senior Level , or DAWIA PM Level III required

Desired Certifications: Scrum Master, ITIL, AWS Cloud Practitioner

Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience or more

Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and hold an active public trust (or higher security clearance)
