We are looking for an experienced and motivated assistant and hygienist to join our dental team! At our office, our mission is to create a personable experience with each and every patient. We are dedicated to providing the best quality oral health care to our patients. We are seeking a part-time dental assistant and part-time dental hygienist who is a positive, energetic, and organized individual to join our team. Saturdays and Evenings are a MUST.

Job Summary- DENTAL ASSISTANT

· Assists dentist, set up and breakdown rooms, maintains equipment, prepares patients' for treatment, and keeps records.

General Accountabilities

· Prepares patient, sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures.

· Records treatment information in patient records.

· Takes digital x-rays

· Takes and records patients medical and dental histories

· Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.

· Monitors dental supplies and equipment inventory.

· Fabricates temporary restorations (crowns and bridges)

· Takes alginate and pvs impressions

· Pours and trims alginate impressions

Job Qualifications

· Education: Post-secondary certificate from an accredited dental assistant program

· Experience: 1-2 years of related dental experience

· Virginia X-ray certification

Our awesome private practice is looking for a part time hygienist to join our team! Patient care and safety is a top priority, as well as employee safety. Licensed in local anesthesia is needed. Saturdays is a MUST.

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities

-Gather patient information and health background

-Take x-rays when necessary

-Prepare the work area for procedures

-Scale and polish patients’ teeth

-Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits

-Perio maintenance and charting

-Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment

-Restock treatment areas

Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications

-Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program

-Current Virginia state Dental hygiene license and x-ray certification

-Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures

-Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques

-Excellent communication skills

-1-2 years of experience working in a dental practice

-Dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care

-Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment

-Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
