To provide personal care services to patients. Personal care service is defined as assistance with activities of daily living and performance of household task essential to the maintenance of the patient's health and safety, within the or outside of the home as ordered by a physician and supervised by a registered nurse. Our caregivers are the keystone to our business; therefore, it is a must for the caregiver to possess virtues of compassion, adaptability, respect, enthusiasm, professionalism, flexibility, honesty, positive attitude, dependability, care, and dependability.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with activities of daily living
2. Be able to shop for, prepare and serve nutritious meals
3. Perform routine housekeeping tasks
4. Escorts patient to healthcare facilities/appointments.
5. Respects the cultural and religious practices of the patient and family
6. Practices honesty, dependability, and confidentiality in all patient and family members
7. Maintains safe environment, following basic rules of safety
8. Reminds the patient to take self-administered medications.
9. Assist patient in social activities
10. Follows the Aide care plan.
11. Prepares a daily report of the visit and submits on a weekly basis to the agency office.
Job Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
All applicants must pass a criminal background check.
Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, dependability and a cheerful attitude.
Valid Current CNA or HHA license in Northern Virginia, with a minimum of 1-year experience.
Current First Aid & CPR. (TRAINING PROVIDED
Proof of negative PPD test (chest X-ray if PPD was positive).
Documentation of a complete physical exam done in the last 12 months.
Must be able to provide at least 2 professional references.
Must possess effective communication skills.
