Position: Laundry Delivery Driver
About Us
We offer Wash & Fold Laundry Service in the Northern VA/DC area with Pickup & Delivery.
Position Summary
Seeking a driver to pick up and deliver customer laundry to their homes. You will be the friendly face our clients interact with each week.
Typical Day
You will have a dedicated route each day. Your day starts at our storefront, in Arlington, VA, inspecting each order, reviewing delivery list, and transporting the orders safely to our clients. You must maintain a friendly, positive attitude when delivering to customers. You are the face of our company. Build relationships with customers, communicate openly, educate customers, manage customer needs and proactively resolve concerns in conjunction with management.
Typical Week
We are looking for someone to work 10A-Noon, 7 days a week, Sunday-Saturday & eventually evenings Monday-Friday 6P-8P. Deliveries will constitute up to 4-5 hours of each weekday (1-2 hours per day on weekends).
Responsibilities and Duties
Pick up and Deliver the correct orders to customers with a friendly and courteous attitude.
Properly mark and ensure orders do not get mixed up.
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Make note of anything customer mentions in terms of service, needs, questions, or requests - Relay information to attendant upon return to storefront.
If a customer is unavailable or there is an issue that does not allow for the pick up or delivery at a building, contact management immediately.
After pick ups and deliveries are completed, return to storefront and log new orders into system with attendant.
Requirements
Be a US citizen
Valid and current Driver's License
High school diploma or equivalent
No Smoking in or around company vehicle! Our laundry service prides itself on cleaning clothes and leaving them fresh and clean. Our drivers must be able to deliver fresh laundry without remnants of smoke.
Clean driving record (must bring copy of DMV driving record)
Dependable and reliable
Ability to pass background check and drug test
Ability to lift up to 50 lb laundry bags
Respectful attitude with coworkers and other office staff
Ability to read a map and/or use GPS
Driver must have their own smartphone to use our delivery app
Read and speak English clearly
Knowledge of the Arlington and surrounding areas a plus
Appearance
Clean-cut and neatly dressed in our company shirt/vest/hat.
Maintain clean clothes for presentable appearance¦.Youre delivering fresh, clean laundry
Maintain basic personal hygiene
