WILL RELOCATE for this position.

After training, you will responsible for hands-on field service work at customer sites, with a focus on installation of components and subassemblies, and basic commissioning of IEM equipment primarily in data center or industrial applications. This includes, but may not be limited to:

Installation and modification of mechanical components and subassemblies

Panel board interiors

Circuit breakers

Bus bar

Switchgear section doors and subpanels

Addition of control components

Power cabling and light control wiring

Perform basic testing of modified assemblies (visual, ductor, etc.).

Coordinate with Field Project Manager and/or manufacturing facilities to find solutions to product or commissioning issues identified by IEM or reported by the customer in the field

Perform preventive maintenance, field installations and modifications, provide technical product support

Work with project engineers and project managers to select and coordinate the installation and replacement of parts

REQUIREMENTS:

A technical, vocational degree or equivalent and a minimum 1 year of experience working as an electrician or Electrician's assistant, or in a manufacturing or field service role with a focus on power products

A team player with strong communication skills

Ability to work independently without direct supervision

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. The majority of work is expected to be within (50) miles of Sterling, VA, but domestic or travel internationally may occasionally be required. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

familiarity with lock out tag out procedures involving multiple power sources

WOULD BE A PLUS:

Experience with switchgear and electrical controls system.

Military experience

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Familiarity with lock out tag out procedures involving multiple power sources
