Seeking a full time employee to work for a fast paced packing and shipping company. Looking for a dependable person who is hard working, on time and diligent.
Job Description:
Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register
Must be willing to learn how to pack and quote packages
Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins
Basic computer knowledge. Ability to type fast and know how to use windows software
Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers
Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift
Provides pricing information by answering questions in the store or on the phone
Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Be able to lift heavy and or bulky items up to 40-50lbs
Be able to pack items that might be delicate and/or have irregular shapes with proper materials and supplies
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Keeping the workstations tidy at all times and putting things are back where they belong after use
Taking out the trash
Maintains a positive attitude even when times that are challenging
Maintains good ethics, honest and polite
Ability to come to work on time at all times
Reliable transportation
Be able to clear background checks
Required education:
High school/GED or equivalent
Required experience:
Customer Service
Previous experience in the shipping industry but not required. We will train the right candidate.
Job Type: Full time (Monday-Friday 12:30 PM - 6:30 PM Saturdays 9:30-3:30 - 36 hours per week)
Salary: $10.00 /hour will change after probation period of 3 months
