ARMED SECURITY OFFICER NORTHERN-VIRGINIA

Vacancy expired!

We are seeking several part time armed security officers to help cover open weekend positions, special events, and occasional weekday positions. The mandatory requirement for candidates is to have an active and valid Armed Security License in the state of Virginia (DCJS). We seek officers with armed licenses in Virginia but officers with an additional state security license such as DC and Maryland are HIGHLY desirable. CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT HAVE AN ARMED DCJS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND NEED NOT TO APPLY.

The position’s hours and job site assignments will vary time to time, but typically the working hours will be from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. Candidates that apply for this position MUST be available within these times. Officers will always work the weekend shifts as well as occasional weekday shifts and may be called to work on irregular shift times due to covering shifts because of call offs, vacations leaves, coverage requests and until a permanent officer can cover the shift.

To be considered for this position, candidates MUST be available to work on weekends as well as have an Armed Virginia Security License upon applying (DCJS). THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. Candidates may indicate their preference for weekend work, meaning if they prefer day shifts (6am to 6pm) or night shifts (6pm to 6am). However, if selected for this position the successful candidate MUST report to an assignment if called in during these times. Candidates must also be available to work on holidays.

TO APPLY: Please reply with your resume attached and indicate your preference for on call work. For example, day shifts (6am to 6pm) or night shifts (6pm to 6am).

Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules

Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security

Warn violators of premise rules and regulations

Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

Must have a current and valid Armed VA DCJS license (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT)
