This is a part time position working for a small wine importer and distributor. It involves delivering wine to existing customers as orders are placed. You are also free to develop new clients and will be paid a percentage of all sales that you make. While the wine business can be fun, it is also serious. There are a number of absolute requirements. Please don't bother to apply unless you meet these requirements.
You MUST be over 21.
You MUST have a car.
You MUST have a computer and a printer and be able to keep track of documents.
You MUST be reliable and honest. I want references and I will check them.
You MUST know something about wine and be willing to keep learning.
You MUST be able to lift boxes of wine and sometimes carry them up or down stairs.
The warehouse is in Woodbridge, VA, near I95 South. You will be responsible for picking up wine there and keeping paperwork up to date. When you deliver in the District, you will be responsible for visiting the DC tax office to pay the tax before making the delivery. You must keep track of all paperwork.
You will be paid a flat fee for each delivery and a percentage of all new sales that result from your efforts.
