Experis is partnered with a small government integrator who provides technical engineering support for large federal government agencies in their search for an Access Control/CCTV Installation Technician to join their team in Bethesda, MD.
The working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.
Candidates must be able to obtain a Level 6 Public Trust to be considered - ideally candidates will already possess this accessibility.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Access Control and CCTV Installation Technician to join our team supporting the National Institute of Health, in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience with Access Control and CCTV systems across multiple platforms, on large enterprise commercial and government environments.
The primary scope of this work shall be:
Perform security installations that include Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems
Coordinate with PM to ensure availability of materials and equipment
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and schematics
Identify risks and provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers
Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems
Inspect quality of finished projects to ensure conformation of all specifications and requirements
Program and test installed security systems and train customers as required
Continually learn new products, upgrades and software programs related to low voltage systems
Represent us in a professional manner at all times
Abide by OSHA regulations and use protective equipment as required
Required Qualifications:
Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Level 5
Minimum of 2 years experience with installation and troubleshooting with CCTV (including Axis, Avigilon, Airship, Pelco, Panasonic, Optelecom, etc.), Access Control (Continuum, Lenel, DSX, Keyscan, Doorking, etc.) and Intrusion Detection (Bosch)
Experience working in large enterprise commercial environment
Knowledge in connector termination and relay configurations
Knowledge in mechanical retrofitting of door frames and gates for electric strikes and magnetic locking devices; and peripheral devices (motion sensors, push buttons and contacts)
Knowledge in programming and training onsite personnel in numerous Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems
Knowledge and practical experience with Internet and Networking commercial systems
Excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication
Must be able to work independently or on a team at locations in and around VA/MD Area
Ability to exercise sound judgment and find effective solutions
Must have clean driving and criminal records and successfully pass a drug test
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on heights (lifts and ladders)
Must be able to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead
