STK AUTOMOTIVE is seeking a highly experienced automotive diagnostician/technician for immediate hire.

**Opportunity and Position Summary**

STK AUTOMOTIVE is a full service auto repair facility performing all types of services and repairs on all makes and models of vehicles.

We are a high volume family-owned shop offering an exciting opportunity with growth potential and great atmosphere

Technicians are primarily responsible for efficient diagnosis, repair and replacement of automotive parts and accessories.

Technicians will conduct a variety of repairs; including but not limited to brakes, drivability, emissions, steering & suspension, electrical, state safety & emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, starting & charging, and major engine. Technicians must also care for the vehicle while being repaired and properly secure it after a repair is completed.

We adhere to a "do it right the first time" philosophy. Technicians will not exceed 2 or more comebacks within a 4-week period

Successful technicians maintain capabilities to ensure proficient use of service equipment and maintain certification status.

**Required Experience**

Minimum of 10+ years’ experience on Fords 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 and 6.7L, diesel powered light to medium duty pickups and trucks, AND/OR GMs 6.6L Duramax, AND/OR Cummins 5.9 and 6.7 Liter engines.

Electrical Diagnostic Experience a PLUS

ASE Certifications are a PLUS

**Required Skills and Availability**

ADVANCED VEHICLE CHECK – You must be able to perform a quick but thorough vehicle check to recommend repair and maintenance services that address a customer’s concern and other areas of need

Have a valid driver’s license and safely operate a motor vehicle

Have reliable transportation to and from the work place

Able to work weekdays and Saturdays

Perform all types of repairs – engines, brakes, suspension, exhausts

Will have strong undercar skills and be able to perform wheel alignments

Experience or knowledge of transmission systems is desirable, but not required.

Will have knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

A state Inspectors license is preferred, but not required.

Expected to comply with company policies and procedures, loss prevention, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances

Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to perform normal physical duties of repair technician (frequent standing and walking for long periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting)

Enter and locate information on computer

Maintain clean and organized shop, office and warehouse areas

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience with performance bonuses available. We offer OT, paid holidays, vacation, and training.
