You Will Be Responsible For:Policy Support
Proactively monitor state, local and federal issues, providing research support if requested.
Demonstrate ability to articulate complicated policy and operational issues to internal and external audiences.
Perform research on assigned policy issues as assigned, including operational, technology, financial and people impacts. Reviews existing facility policies in relationship to any company-wide policy changes or additions proposed.
Partners with appropriate HR Center of Expertise in drafting or revising all policies
Partners with AHS Communications in developing and deploying Communication Plans for all policy changes or new policies, which may include internal HR Communication, Leadership Communication, Employee broad-based communication, individual employee communication, HRSS Contact Center scripts
Partners with the legal team and HRSS in development and deploying policy support documents such as releases, agreements, schedules in support of policies.
Regularly communicate progress and concerns affecting policy to supervisor through written and oral reports.
Manages special projects as assigned and perform issue-specific research.
Assist in the production of the Employee Guidelines, presentations related to policies and Guidelines, and other communication tools. This may include research, writing and coordination of publication.
Develop and/or contribute to projects, such as whitepapers, research documents and reports as assigned.
Business Development Support
Facilitates due diligence for Human Resources in assigned transactions. Analyzes documents, reports on missing information and potential risks or issues.
Works closely with supervisor in developing and communicating due diligence findings
Collaborates with internal and external legal teams and consultants on transaction issues
Acts as primary HR liaison between Due Diligence leadership and implementation teams, communicating requirements according to transaction agreement documents and AHS policy. Communicates and collaborates effectively with iSynergy and HRSS project teams on bringing new business units onto AHS HR systems
QualificationsWhat You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field.
Job Summary:This position is responsible for supporting and implementing Human Resources policy development, revisions and implementation of policy changes for Adventist Health System (AHS). This includes researching research and writing policies for review, analysis of impact of policies, and partnering with AHS resources for communication and implementation of policies. This role understands and articulates key policy issues and their relationship to the operations of the business. Displays professionalism, strong initiative, willingness and ability to solve challenges.
