Prospective candidates must have at least 1 year of optical experience and understands the importance of excellent customer service. An outstanding patient experience is our number one priority. Wages range from $20-$32 per hour (plus commission and bonuses) depending on licensing, experience, and productivity. We offer health and dental benefits and 401K matching. Paid time off starts after 6 months of employment for full-time positions. Strong sales ability a plus! We give schedule flexibility to suit each team member’s unique needs with the option to work 2-5 days per week. No Sunday or late evening hours. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sell, fit and dispense prescription eyewear. Answer telephone and direct calls or take messages Check voice mail and email messages Monitor text messages and in-store messaging consistently for messages/tasks Schedule appointments Enthusiastically greet incoming patients. Verify vision benefits and bill claims for eyewear. Adjust and repair eyeglasses. Work closely with optometrists to keep the patient flow moving efficiently. Any other tasks requested by supervisors. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable experience typically achieved with a minimum of 1-2 years in an optical environment. A successful candidate must meet the position requirements above in order to perform the essential functions of this position and achieve the outcomes/results indicated in this position description.
