The QUIKRETE® Companies, the leading producer of packaged concrete products in the US and an innovative leader in commercial building and home improvement products is seeking a self-motivated/proactive Maintenance Mechanic for our Punta Gorda, FL Facility. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working in an industrial environment.
Additionally, this position may require overtime and some weekend work. 1st shift operation must be open to other shifts as needed. Quikrete offers a 401K saving plan, full major medical, paid holidays and vacations. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, thus only local candidates or candidates willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Must be in good physical condition with ability to climb ladders.
Completes work orders and responds to maintenance calls on the Production Floor in timely manner.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Performs preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Maintains neat and orderly work area; properly maintains tools.
Must be able to operate and work around industrial machinery.
Cannot be afraid of heights or enclosed spaces.
Must be able to wear respirators, safety glasses, and or hearing protection in required areas.
Must be able to work with others with limited supervision.
Must be able to take direction in a manufacturing environment with ever changing demands.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
