The successful candidate performs scaling and root planning procedures.Specific duties include:
Performing clinical oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, sealant and fluoride application consistent with the accepted professional practices and standards and in compliance with Florida stale law.
Working with children and diverse populations.
Instructing, evaluating, and supervising patients in oral hygiene education and preventive dental techniques.
Completing appropriate extra and intra-oral examinations/screenings.
Maintaining accurate dental records, taking blood pressure readings, entering progress notes into electronic health record system.
Participating in dental in-service training and lectures.
Maintaining cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and registered dental hygiene (ROH) license.
Assisting with various clinical and administrative functions as directed.
Working independently and as a team with minimal amount of supervision
Assisting with assembly and breakdown of mobile hygiene materials and equipment.
Traveling within Collier County is a regular duty of this position and will be required depending upon community outreach activities.
Expected Salary:$30.00 hourly; commensurate with education and experienceMinimum Requirements:Licensed as a dental hygienist in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida Statutes.Preferred Qualifications:
Current Florida Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
CPR certification
