IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY available for experienced Low Voltage Cable Technicians in the Daytona Beach, Florida area.
Required Experience for Low Voltage/Communications/Structured Cable Technician:
Pulling/Terminating/Testing CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6a Low Voltage Cabling.
Telecommunications/Communications Cabling Experience in large Commercial Environments (Over 1,000 drops)
Termination of Low Voltage Cabling on Jacks/ Distribution Frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
Installing Low Voltage Cable Support Structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
Installation/Lacing Low Voltage Cables into Cubicles and other Modular Furniture
Installation of associated Low Voltage Cabling Devices (WAP, Security Cameras, Etc...)
Leading crews on cabling jobs
Direct customer relations/interaction
Troubleshooting Low Voltage problems on client sites
High level of low voltage cabling knowledge
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage/Communications/Structured Cable Technician:
Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards associated with Low Voltage Communications/Structured Cabling.
Experience running or bending conduit, with digital multi-meters, and testing cable
Troubleshooting network cabling / networking issues.
Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
Ability to read and understand schematic and line diagrams
Your own basic telecom tools including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, PPE (safety gear), etc.
