The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, maintenance of accounting practices and records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Senior Accountant will also serve as a liaison for HR needs not limited to Payroll.
Summary of Duties
Accounting Management
Maintains and enforces a documented system of Accounting policies and procedures
Manage outsourced functions
Oversee the operations of the accounting department
Oversee Department control systems, transaction-processing operations and policies and procedures.
Accounting Transactions
Ensure all AP are managed and paid in timely manners.
Review reasonable Invoices or costs for each job and vendor
Ensure AR are properly recorded and collected promptly
Process Payroll in a timely manner
Ensure Bank reconciliations are completed
Review and report on all debt payments
Main Chart of Accounts
Maintain an orderly filling system
Reporting
Issue timely and Complete Financial Statements
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
Recommend Benchmarks against which to measure company performance
Calculate and issue Financial and operating metrics
Manage the production of weekly, quarterly and yearly budget and forecasts
Provide a system of management cost reports
Provide Financial Analysis as needed in particular for pricing decisions, cash flow and debt consolidation.
Compliance
Coordinate the provision of the information to external auditors or annual audit
Monitor Debt levels and compliance with debt convenants
Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

5-7 Years Minimum of Accounting Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Compensation
$65,000 - $75,000 Depending on Experience
